Ease of use: So Easy, Grandma can use

Review:
Far from the light of your buzzing neon tube palm tree sculpture, sitting in front of your LCD monitor, equally hip in your indirectly lit 'work' area, sits the EluminX illuminated keyboard. A glowing blue backlit Windows 95/98/2000/NT/ME/XP compatible keyboard that is easily visible in complete darkness or scented candlelight.

This patented technology was originally developed for a much more critical application -- it was first used in laptops for the military, where computer use in nighttime or low-lit environments was critical.

Installation - Turn the lights up a bit or dig out the flashlight and plug the PS/2-compatible keyboard into your computer. That's it. No drivers, no PnP hardware discovery.

In complete darkness the 104 rubber plunger type switches are visible through the frosted key caps, very cool. In keeping with the thin line sexy design, the switch throw and layout is much like a laptop keyboard. Hardcore typists might not find this as comfortable to use as a standard keyboard. But the EliminX keyboard and companion mouse are anything but standard, and are better suited for specialty situations, such as concert show operators, surveillance vehicles, news production trucks, late-night Web surfers or those vampire-type computer users who have hypersensitivity to daylight (programmers perhaps?).

This keyboard is a neat addition to your PC. Now, how about they start making illuminated telephones, refrigerator door handles and toilet seat covers?

Visit www.eluminx.com for more information and for some images of people dancing because they are so happy that this technology has finally been made available to them.
