Ease of use: So Easy, Grandma can use
Review:
If you find bumper sticker phrases such as 'Invest in America, Buy a Congressman' or 'So your kid's an honor student, you're still a moron!' hilarious, have we got some software for you. The Your Bumper Sticker Maker Software lets you get your creative juices flowing to come up with bumper stickers for almost any occasion.
The software, which was extremely easy to install, is made with Macromedia Flash. The application lets you add artwork, change colors, display different fonts, etc. It's a basic design and paint program, with the emphasis on making a bumper sticker. The package comes with bumper sticker paper, but it's not specially perforated or anything like that -- it's basically special paper that you can then peel off and stick onto something. When you design your sticker, there's extra white space around, so you will end up using scissors to make it look more like a standard bumper sticker.
Like the company's Trading Card Maker software, there's no way to print multiple stickers at once, which means that you'll always have an extra blank sticker going through your printer. You might be able to print a new sticker by turning the paper around, but it also might get jammed in your printer.
If you get stuck with coming up with a funny sticker (our best idea was 'Honk if you have card stock'), the software comes with pre-made stickers such as the ones listed above. If you get tired of trying to make bumper stickers, you can always just copy the clip art, photos and fonts that come with the package. An impressive 10,000 pieces of art or photos come with the package, and there are 30 fonts plus links to other 'free' Internet font on the software.
Also, you only get three sticker pages (six stickers if you do the duplication method I described above). Extra sticker refills cost $19.95 for six refills (12 stickers), or $29.95 for 12 refills (24 stickers). Since you will end up using scissors to cut the stickers correctly anyway, you might be able to find special sticker paper that is less expensive at an office supply store.
