Review:
Most networking books are dry, color-less and somewhat dull.

This one isn't.

The Cisco Networking Simplified book is full of colorful illustrations that help explain several networking concepts, including how DNS works, to how wireless LANs communicate, to how videoconferencing works.

If you're already pretty knowledgeable about networking, this book may seem a little simple, but you can always use it to help explain the concepts to others less knowledgeable (like to the CIO, for example [hee hee].)

If you don't know much about networking concepts, this is a great book to start with, as you won't fall asleep after the first few pages like you may with other books. And while the book is written with a Cisco focus, it is not an advertisement for Cisco products.
