Review:
Here at the Cool Tools Testing Center, we'd be pretty impressed with a flat-panel monitor that also has a slot for toasting bread. But we're weird like that.
The rest of the world probably wants a monitor that's easy to set up, looks good on the desktop, and has some good resolution at a decent price. That's what you get with the HP Pavilion f1703 monitor, a 17-inch flat panel LCD monitor that also includes some nice harman/kardon speakers.
The monitor offers 1,280 by 1,024 resolution, and only takes up about 6-inches in depth, saving you some space on your desk or work area.
The coolest feature is how the monitor tilts vertically to provide maximum viewing area (as well as anti-glare) with the viewer's eye level. We found it very cool to tilt the monitor as low as possible, which hides the base and makes it look even more impressive.
OK, for those of you who still want some specs with your monitor, here goes. The f1703 includes a 350:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits of brightness and offers a 140-degree viewing angle.
