Ease of use: So Easy, Grandma can use
Review:
,admin,2003-11-24,2003-11-24,"If you want to drop a little weight and need some advice and help reaching your goal, Weight-By-Date (WBD) is a software program you should try. Every day you input your current weight, what you ate and how much you exercised. WBD will tell you how many calories you consumed, how many you burned and how many you're under for the day.
The software comes loaded with thousands of foods and meals, so inputting what you eat can be as simple as choosing from a dropdown menu. If your foods aren't listed, you can enter its nutritional information (calories, fat, protein, carbohydrates, etc.) and save them to the list. The same goes for recipes. All you do is add the ingredients and specify the number of servings, and WBD determines the NI for you. This makes tracking your nutritional intake easy in the future. You can see not only how many calories you ate on a given day, but also how much protein, carbohydrates, calcium, sodium and a host of other minerals.
The first week of using this program can be a pain, because you have to add in the NI for all the foods you eat that aren't in the list. But once you have your core foods in the system, all you do is click from the menu. WBD also offers a host of charts that track your progress, including weight, caloric intake, BMI, body measurements and more. The Pro version offers a mobile component, so you can track your foods on your PDA; this is pretty handy for those on the go. WBD is a good motivational tool in your weight loss arsenal.
