Plantronics CT12 2.4GHz DSS Cordless Headset Telephone

The convenience of a cordless headset phone cannot be underrated. Whether you're at home preparing a meal (have you ever tried chopping vegetables while trying to neck-clutch the phone? - ouch) or taking notes while on a business call, a headset is always a good option.

The Plantronics CT 12 has a lot of great features, including the convertible headset/over-the-ear boom. Both stay in place nicely without much effort. And the petite handset with its belt clip is perfect for tucking into a pocket. Although the Firefly 'in-use' indicator light is meant to help others know when you're on the phone, I found the constant flashing annoying and distracting during my calls. And callers noted that the voice quality sounded distant on the headset/boom. This is a shame, since Plantronics boasts their noise-canceling microphone. However, as a backup phone for home use, this 2.4GHz cordless is quite handy.
