MS/DOJ: Judge's decision due on a Friday

Those eager to learn at least part of the outcome of the antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft will have to tune in on future Friday evenings, according to a statement posted on the U.S. District Court's Website.

Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson's findings of fact will be issued on a Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Washington time. Which Friday evening that may be was not specified.

The statement said that at 4:30 p.m. of the Friday in question, the parties to the case will be informed that the findings will be issued two hours hence. This news will also be posted on the court's press line at (202) 354-3036. At 6:30 p.m., electronic copies of the findings will be distributed to the parties to the case; a limited number of paper copies will be distributed to members of the public inside the John Marshall entrance to the U.S. Courthouse.
