Today's breaking news

BulletProof of Miami, Fla. this week released Version 4.0 of JdesignerPro. It is a Java tool set for building wireless client applications on PalmOS and Windows CE handhelds.

The new release has an improved Java Virtual Machine for the PalmOS, so that the JVM can run applications that use up to 256K bytes of memory. In the past, according to BulletProof, many applications were limited to 64K bytes. Because of the additional memory, handheld applications such as order entry or sales force automation can be larger and more complex than before.

Pricing for Version 4.0 starts at $395 per developer. The tool set is compatible with a wide range of handheld, Windows and server operating systems. It works with most databases via JDBC and ODBC interfaces.

A free trial of JDesignerPro 4.0 can be downloaded from www.bulletproof.com.
