Some Washington Republicans soon will use Internet ballots to vote for delegates to the King County and Washington state Republican conventions.
The move marks another small victory for concept of online voting. Earlier this month, Arizona Democrats became the first to hold a valid online election for their state presidential primary.
Republicans in King County will vote electronically April 8 for state delegates. And all Republican state delegates will vote electronically June 16 for national delegates. Delegates will use computers available at the convention to cast votes.
Mike Majestic, co-founder of iPolitics.com, which will host the voting, said online voting will make reporting the results easier.
