Infonet announced last week a partnership with Polycom to offer video-over-IP services for its global business customers.
Infonet is packaging Polycom interactive video products with its dedicated IP services. Infonet is bundling the Polycom Office products, which include Polycom's ViewStation, iPower, ViaVideo endpoints, MCG Video Multipoint Control Unit and MCG Gateway.
Infonet expects to ease adoption and deployment of video-over-IP by offering a service that includes all the video equipment needed.
AT&T Wireless announced last week its plans to make available Web-enabled Smartphones running software from Microsoft in the U.S. in the first half of next year. Similar phones go on sale in Europe this month.
