Bocada announced enhancements to its BackupReport software this week at Storage Networking World in Orlando.

BackupReport, which reports on the success or failure of backup jobs across a network, has been enhanced to include more utilization reporting, new report groups and error sensitivity, an improved user interface, and the ability to pull information from tape library software.

Customers can now view information by job group, drive and other criteria, allowing them to utilize assets more effectively. They can now group information by master backup server, media server, zone, owner or job group. In addition, customers can now prioritize errors to look for and pull information from tape library software that tells them how fast volumes of data are sent to tape.

An enhanced user interface allows the customer to look at data in their own fashion, grouping backup servers for which they are responsible.

BackupReport starts at $60,000 for an average enterprise environment.
