Indian business process outsourcing company Karvy Global Services Monday announced its diversification into providing services to the healthcare industry.

Revenue from services to the healthcare industry is likely to account for about 20% of the company's revenue in the next two years, Karvy Global Services CEO Arthur Flew said.

Karvy Global Services of Hyderabad was launched in October last year by Karvy Consultants, one of India's leading financial services companies.

Focused mainly on the financial services sector, Karvy Global Services has made large up-front investments in facilities.

The company has signed up two clients in the healthcare industry, including Healthia, a start-up online comparison-shopping portal for healthcare products and services, Flew said. These new customers takes the total number of clients that the company has to six, he added.

Karvy Global Services is building a Healthcare Savings Account (HSA) and health insurance plan database for Healthia of Sunnyvale, Calif. Outsourcing the work to Karvy costs Healthia 60% less than if the company were to do it in-house, Healthia CEO Chini Krishnan said.
