A new Web-based matchmaking system will help align businesses with outsourcing suppliers at the Cebit trade show, event organizers said Friday.
On Cebit's Web site, visitors can register a profile detailing their outsourcing interests, according to a news release from Deutsche Messe. Visitors can search a catalog of outsourcing suppliers and request meetings with companies, which can view the profile and prepare for a meeting. Profiles can remain anonymous.
In addition, companies can request a meeting, and visitors can choose among suppliers. The matchmaking system will generate an individualized meeting schedule for participants. Short-notice scheduling changes will be sent out by short messaging service.
The matchmaking event will be held in Hall 8 at Cebit, organizers said.
Registration has not started for visitors, however, those interested can enter an e-mail address here and will be notified when registration begins. The service is free for visitors.
For exhibitors, the charge is €200 ($245), excluding value-added tax. Registration continues through Feb. 24 here.
Cebit, the world's largest technology show, is scheduled from March 9 to March 15 in Hanover, Germany.
