Mimosa Systems Monday launched disaster recovery enhancements to its continuous data protection software for Microsoft Exchange.

The NearPoint Disaster Recovery Option allows the automated recovery of Exchange databases. It provides application-intelligent recovery that preserves data consistency and integrity and prevents replication of database corruption when Exchange servers fail.

During an Exchange server recovery, the option restores Exchange data, rebinds mailboxes and re-establishes Exchange services.

A Wizard eases the configuration, installation and administration of the recovery process and provides pre-test configuration check reports. Using the Wizard allows administrators to starts recoveries with a single mouse click.

The Mimosa NearPoint Disaster Recovery Option is priced at $1,000 for 100 mailboxes. The base NearPoint pricing starts at $10,000 for 100 mailboxes.
