Symphony Spend Management Solutions, a telecom expense management software and hosting provider, announced Monday that its latest software version is now available.
Symphony’s Select Expense Management Software (EMS) 11.4 includes an improved interface to its customer service portal, which now provides a dashboard view into all of the software’s functionality. The interface is designed to make it easier for users to get a clear status of their overall telecom spend, inventory and payment processes.
“Our GUI (graphical user interface) wasn’t quite as enhanced as we wanted,” says Alan Harlan, president of spend management solutions at the software provider. Symphony teamed with Out of the Blue Design, a Web design firm to make the GUI more user-friendly.
The new software also includes an Auditor Toolkit that allows users to more easily capture customer records, call accounting information for VoIP calls, and streamlined processes for invoice approval and reconciliation.
La Quinta and Tickets.com have both agreed to upgrade their current EMS 11 platforms with newest software.
The EMS software is designed to allow customers to track and manage voice, data and wireless telecom expenses, assets and processes including moves, adds, changes and deletes.
Customers can purchase EMS 11 software in a hosted environment where Symphony is selling the software as a service (SaaS) or as part of a fully outsourced engagement. Of Symphony’s 350 customers, 65 are fully outsourced customers.
