Microsoft Friday appointed a new vice president to oversee business in its manufacturing industry vertical division.
John Fikany, is vice president of Microsoft's U.S. Manufacturing Industries division, where he will develop and lead strategy and execution for the group.
The group generates $1.5 billion in revenue annually and supports more than 1,100 enterprise customers, according to Microsoft.
Most recently, Fikany was general manager of the group, where he was responsible for developing strategy, cross-region communications, partnering, go-to-market and sales initiatives for the group.
Prior to that, he served a dual role as general manager of the Automotive and Industrial Equipment division and general manager of the Great Lakes District, where he was responsible for all product and application sales, marketing, partnering, consulting, education and support services.
