Netuitive this week made available an upgraded version of its performance analysis software that the company says can now correlate more data in real time to better manage critical business applications.
Netuitive Service Analyzer Enterprise Edition can analyze and correlate more than 22,900 unique data streams in less than one minute on a single CPU machine, the company says, which makes the software capable of monitoring multiple IT components that make up business services. The software, which costs about $500,000 for an average installation, works with existing management systems to automate troubleshooting and problem diagnostics. Netuitive executives say the software learns normal behavior and alarms when activity strays outside known patterns.
"The software can automatically and continuously learn the behavior of each element and understand the relationships among elements," says Nicola Sanna, Netuitive president and CEO. He says the company added scalability, end-user experience monitoring and service health degradation features to help customers more quickly deploy business service management (BSM).
Netuitive works with existing management software from the likes of BMC, CA, HP and IBM to collect performance data. The software can run on managed devices that already have software agents installed on them, or it can collect data from the central management console that network managers use to distribute and configure agents. The software baselines normal behavior and is triggered when performance anomalies occur.
"We worked to provide enough information to show the process behind the analytics, but not so much information that it baffles them," Sanna says.
With competition from the likes of Managed Objects and ProactiveNet, Sanna says he will continue to build partnerships with companies such as BMC that help clients more easily integrate their monitoring systems with Netuitive's automated analytics software.
The Netuitive Service Analyzer Enterprise Edition is shipping now. Pricing starts at $20,000 per service and $400 per server.
