RedSeal Systems today announced Security Risk Auditor, a software-only version of the company’s Security Risk Manager appliance for pinpointing device misconfiguration and prioritizing remediation actions.
John LaCour, director of product management, says Security Risk Auditor, which runs on Windows XP, is designed to be mobile so that network managers can use it more easily in various locations. And starting at $10,000, Security Risk Auditor, expected to ship in April, is also less expensive than the Security Risk Manager appliance, which costs about $25,000.
The RedSeal line of security risk management products are being used internally by corporations for self-assessment and as a tool by consultants performing audits.
