Serendipity Technologies will use the DEMO `07 stage to introduce WorkLight, software designed to give users secure “Web 2.0-style” access to corporate data.

Intended to make information easier to find, consume, and share, WorkLight allows corporate data stored in databases and applications to be accessed via RSS feeds, AJAX-based applications, instant messaging systems, and other “Web 2.0” tools, according to company officials.

The software also makes it easier to collaborate on this information by allowing it to be bookmarked, tagged and shared, much like a link to a Web page, they say.

“Serendipity is the first vendor to offer a solution that allows enterprise information workers to build their own meaningful context for information stored in disparate repositories,” says Shahar Kaminitz, CEO and founder of Serendipity Technologies.

Available now, WorkLight is sold as a subscription with pricing starting at $10 per user per month. Volume discounts are available.

Based in Yakum, Israel, Serendipity has raised $5.6 million in venture capital.
