DEMO '07, kicking off Wednesday morning in Palm Desert, Calif., will host product launches from dozens of new companies as well as a handful of industry veterans.
In addition to featuring new companies from around the world, DEMO `07 will be the backdrop for announcements from established industry names such as Symantec, Wyse Technology, Adobe Systems, and Alcatel-Lucent Ventures. All together, the conference will showcase 68 companies demonstrating new products and services to an audience of roughly 700 people, according to show organizers. DEMO, which is owned by Network World, aims to preview new technology designed for enterprise users and consumers.
Web services will be a recurring theme among this year’s crop of demonstrations, according to executive producer Chris Shipley.
“Empowered individuals are savvy consumers who are now driving and shaping the technology market, from the way products are designed to the way business models are implemented,” she says. “At DEMO `07, we'll be looking at how these empowered individuals create and consume content and experience through Web-delivered services. We'll explore how the empowered individual impacts the dynamics of the business environment and the technology infrastructure that supports them.”
