Many Windows admins follow the "delegate and forget" model of administering a server. They allow groups to create their own shares and administer the permissions on them. This is harder in Samba, but this talk will cover the new code added to Samba 3.0.23 and following releases that allows "user defined" shares, plus a tour of some of the lesser known options that allow group control of permissions and setting privillages on a Samba server.
