WASHINGTON, D.C. – Accellion on Monday announced a version of its secure file transfer appliance that features internationalization, an enhanced user interface, and new management capabilities.
Version 6.0 of Accellion’s Secure File Transfer appliance offers user interfaces in six languages including English, French, German, Korean, Japanese and simplified Chinese, according to company officials. This means companies that use the appliance can more easily exchange files with customers and partners who speak these languages, they say.
Also new in this release Accellion has added a secondary audit trail that confirms or collaborates the primary audit trail already available in the product; simplified management of the appliance through SNMP; a hot fail-over capability made possible by clustering appliances together; and new user security features such as password expiration and time-out policies, officials say.
Accellion says its Secure File Transfer product provides an alternative to sending large attachments over e-mail that takes up fewer resources and is more secure.
Secure File Transfer 6.0 is priced starting at $3,500.
