SIPphone's Gizmo Project VoIP software now supports AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and MSN Messenger buddies. Gizmo Project is available for the Mac and other platforms and is a free download.
Gizmo Project is an "Internet telephone" software service. The software enables you to chat via text or audio with other Gizmo Project users. Users get free voice mail and conference calling features, and can purchase "call in" and "call out" features that enable you to get your own local number and call land lines and mobile phones, respectively.
The support for AIM and MSN Messenger is a server-side change, according to SIPphone -- no new client software download is necessary. Similar capabilities are planned for Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk and iChat are also planned.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later. Gizmo Project is a Universal binary.
