A software-as-a-service tool that manages environmental, health and safety compliance and is used by DuPont, Chevron and Johnson & Johnson has been upgraded with new features making it easier to plan for contingencies and keep tabs on compliance efforts.

The vendor, Enviance, provides a hosted platform on which businesses centrally manage all aspects of regulatory compliance in real time. Enviance System 6.0, a new version announced last week, includes the following upgrades:

*”What if” analyses for contingency planning.

*Dashboard metrics for key performance indicators.

*Enhanced capability to perform complex calculations.

*Automatic report scheduler.

*Advanced search criteria that can be customized.

*A more intuitive interface.

The system can manage compliance for a wide range of requirements, including greenhouse gas emission limits, standards governing reliability and security of electricity providers, air quality rules, or even Sarbanes-Oxley financial accounting rules.

Enviance says DuPont, Chevron and Johnson & Johnson are among the current customers using the service to reduce impact on the environment

“The new look and feel of the [Enviance] System makes the user experience more pleasant, and the new approach of desktop data warnings has created a more efficient process for identifying and responding to potential issues,” Tacy Napolillo, DuPont’s safety, health and environment project leader said in a news release.

Enviance pricing is a subscription model based on the number of users, type of use and intensity. Customers pay anywhere from a few thousand dollars per month to $60,000, the vendor says.

Competitors in the environmental, health and safety compliance software market include ESS, Dakota Software and Optial.
