Fidelis Security on Tuesday announced a quick-start program for its data-leak prevention product that is designed to help companies identify their sensitive information and begin protecting it within two weeks.

The Fidelis Quick Start Program includes the key elements that organizations need to begin protecting their data, according to company officials. The program comprises the Fidelis XPS appliance; the CommandPost management console; engineering consulting, configuration and training; and a FidelisProtect initial assessment report, they say.

With this program, Fidelis hopes to minimize concerns that customers have over how long it can take to identify, locate and protect corporate data. The company promises that, given five days in a two-week period, the quick-start program stops data leakage. This is because of the technology’s level of detail and flexibility, it says.

Fidelis XPS scans encrypted or unencrypted outbound data leaving a corporation’s network, the company says. Customers can choose to block instances of sensitive information heading out of the organization, or just alert users and administrators. Administrators can take different actions based on individual policies. The appliance scans traffic on all channels of all network ports.

The Fidelis Quick Start Program is available and is priced at $124,000.
