At the Apple Expo 2007 in Paris, Iomega introduced new drives aimed squarely at the Mac users. The two new drives complement Iomega's existing UltraMax Mac drives pre-formatted for the Mac OS's HFS+ file system. The new models add 500 and 750GB capacities to the line; and, add a quadruple interface--USB 2.0, eSATA, FireWire 400, and FireWire 800.

Also new: The 1.5TB UltraMax Pro Desktop Hard Drive. The UltraMax Pro comes with USB 2.0, FireWire 400, and FireWire 800 interfaces, and provides two 750GB drives configured in a dual-drive device. The SATA drives are removable and hot-swappable, and may set up in RAID 0 (default), JBOD (disk spanning to show a single volume), or as individual drives each with their own drive drive letter. The 1.5TB model is also available with eSATA and USB 2.0 interfaces, formatted with the FAT32 file system.
