Storage virtualization vendor, DataCore, has undertaken a local channel revamp.
The new Australia Partnering for Profit Program offers promotions and packages designed to target SME customers needing virtual SAN solutions for disaster recovery and data protection as well as virtual storage to support virtual server environments such as VMware.
It is also offering lead registration discounts and a full program of benefits, vice-president Asia-Pacific at DataCore, Peter Thompson, said. It has also set up a presence in Sydney and a training location in its Melbourne base to run training classes.
It's new training courses will be run regularly from October and implemented fortnightly. They are complemented by live local webinars and a DataCore Certified Implementation Engineer (DCIE) accreditation program. Thompson said the first DCIEs were already delivering services.
"We are focusing on the bits which will empower our channel partners and increase their business as this will naturally affect our business positively," he said.
The company has also appointed Peter Kensey to the role of country manager. He will take an active role in developing its channel operations.
Some of DataCore's more prominent channel partners include Commander, Alphawest, Data#3, Blue Connections, TAS and Lincom.
