Skybox Security Tuesday announced it plans to release an updated version of its risk-management software that can aggregate data from firewalls, routers, servers and other sources to allow managers to make security decisions based on analytical and predictive reasoning.
Version 4 of server-based Skybox View will add a Web-management interface and produce compliance reports mapped to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. The new management platform also will support multiple View-based servers aggregating data from across the enterprise through a central repository, according to the company. Skybox View also will support virtual firewalls in routers.
Skybox View is an agentless risk-management tool that consists of six software components for data collection, workflow, and what-if decision-making and analysis. Companies have used it in firewall migration to map out security profiles; Skybox says it now has 125 customers, with Citibank, eBay, British Energy, Barclays Capital, eTrade, Merrill Lynch and Standard Chartered Bank among them.
Skybox View 4.0 starts at $50,000 and is expected to ship in mid-June.
