Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen this week confirmed work continues to make Flash available on the iPhone, but warned the work isn't complete yet.

The company's engineers have been working with the iPhone SDK to deliver Flash support in the form of an application, though Narayen has previously suggested the company needs to. "work with Apple beyond and above what is available through the SDK and the current license around it."

Speaking during Adobe's conference call this week, Narayen offered a brief update, saying the company: "Has a version that's working on the emulation. This is still on the computer and you know, we have to continue to move it from a test environment onto the device and continue to make it work."

Narayen said Adobe is, "pleased with the internal progress" on the development, but he declined to offer any actual details as to when the application will ship - if ever.
