Police in Zambia have arrested three Zain Zambia employees for stealing US$10,000 belonging to the company.
Selling airtime in Lukulu District, the trio allegedly damaged the company vehicle they were driving by smashing the windshield and denting the body in an effort to make it look as if they had been attacked by bandits, said Lukulu District administrative officer Liomba Mwangala.
"The three have been charged with theft and admitted [they] have stolen the money," Mwangala said on Wednesday.
Zain Zambia recently rebranded from Celtel Zambia following a take over by Zain Kuwait.
