The Hangzhou-based Science & Technology Park has Wednesday announced the deployment of an integrated communication system supported by Datacraft China.

As part of the contract, Datacraft, the Singapore-based IT solutions provider, will implement Cisco Connected Real Estate (CCRE) solutions in the first phase of the new development of the Park.

Renowned for quality infrastructure and lifestyle environments catering to business, the Park's operations cover the entire real-estate value chain from e-infrastructure to business networking along with the provision of business space environments in science, business, hi-tech and industrial centres.

Centralised facility control

The installation will enable the Park to centralise the control of facilities such as cooling, lighting, security and digital signage to voice and video communication.

Usually disparate building systems such as HVAC (High-voltage alternating current), lighting, transportation and energy management, as well as video and security access controls, will all now be integrated with Internet protocol-based communication systems such as e-mail, messaging, voice and productivity services to form an integrated control platform.
