In a controversial decision to reorganize and save Midway from going under, Kotaku and IGN reports that former employees of the company may not be receiving payment as promised a month ago when the Chicago-based company filed for bankruptcy. The former publisher of the upcoming title, The Wheelman, featuring Vin Diesel, was recently offloaded to Ubisoft in efforts to keep the company financially solvent.
The company may also be selling the Mortal Kombat franchise in order to survive the financial meltdown. If the sale goes through, Midway may have enough to pay off its creditors, leaving them just enough money to stay afloat.
