As part of GamePro's March issue Terminator Salvation cover story, GP senior editor Sid Shuman got to speak with the VP of development on the game, Cos Lazouras, who talks about new Terminator models, plasma weaponry, and plot points from Terminator Salvation: The Video Game.

In the interview, Lazouras says the game is a prequel to the upcoming Terminator Salvation movie, "set in the year 2016," two years before the events of the movie. Lazouras goes on to confirm that the game is set in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles taking place "several years after the events of Terminator 3."

As far as the game's main characters go, GamePro's Sid Shuman confirms that you play as John Connor (but not Bale's likeness), and Lazouras explains "Two main characters from the movie, Blair Williams (Moon Bloodgood) and Barnes (Common)," accompany you in the Resistance against the rise of the robots. "[Williams and Barnes] are central characters in the game and feature both the voice and likeness of the actors." Even the "bloody fantastic" Rose McGowan is lending talent to the Terminator Salvation game as "Angie Salter, an ex-high school teacher. Angie is on the verge of completely giving up any hope for humanity's survival and is gratingly cynical throughout the game. Her character arc has a profound effect on Connor."
