A 14-year-old girl who was struck by lightening during the recent storms was saved by her iPod.

Sophie Frost's iPod headphones diverted the lightening bolt, according to The London Paper.

The bolt's energy was diverted through her iPod's headphone cable, leaving Frost with only minor burns and singed hair.

"Everybody's said the iPod must have diverted the lightning away from my body, which probably saved my life. I've got a few burns, but it's all healing OK," Frost told The London Paper.
