Juniper this week named a former Microsoft sales executive to spearhead its alliance strategy.
Gerri Elliott, a Microsoft vice president overseeing sales to public-sector organizations, was tapped to become Juniper’s executive vice president of strategic alliances. She will report to CEO Kevin Johnson, who also jumped to Juniper from Microsoft.
Elliott is responsible for Juniper’s global partnerships. At Microsoft, she managed a staff of 2,000 as the company’s corporate vice president, worldwide public sector. She also helped establish a vertical market sales structure for Microsoft’s North American operations.
Prior to Microsoft, Elliott spent 22 years at IBM.
