Tiscali is to offer customers 6.5 million music downloads and 6,000 audiobooks from 42p per track, in a partnership with eMusic.
Tiscali.co.uk, part of the TalkTalk Group, announced the launch of its new music download service, Music for Life this morning.
At launch, Tiscali.co.uk will be giving users 50 free tracks when they sign up for a 14-day free trial of Music for Life.
The current deals are:

24 downloads for £9.99 (US$16) per month thereafter (£0.42 per song)

35 downloads for £13.99 per month thereafter (£0.40 per song)

50 downloads for £17.99 per month thereafter (£0.36 per song)

75 downloads for £24.99 per month thereafter (£0.33 per song)
MP3 tracks are being offered free of digital rights management restrictions.
According to Tiscali the new music download service features established and emerging artists in every genre from rock to reggae and includes familiar names such as Johnny Cash, Paul Weller and The White Stripes, as well as artists of the moment like Vampire Weekend, Temper Trap and Adele.
The site also promises in-depth music editorial and pulls in related artist content from sites such as YouTube and Wikipedia.
"The Music for Life service will be a great boost to our entertainment content and offers a huge range of tracks at very competitive prices," said Neal McCleave, Senior Director of Online at TalkTalk Group.
According to McCleave Tiscali has 6 million users.
