Opera has made its mobile phone web browser available to those with Nokia phones and other handsets running the Symbian platform.
Opera said the beta version of Mobile 10 features the same sleek interface that was introduced in its Mini 5 browser, launched earlier this year, and also gives users access to Speed Dial, tabbed browsing and the password manager.
The software company also said the mobile browser was "twice as fast as the previous version released for Symbian/S60" as it benefits from Opera Turbo, which compresses the bandwidth of text and data files on websites by 80 percent, to speed up browsing.
"Today's powerful smartphones deserve an equally powerful browser, like Opera," said Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software.
"This beta continues our work to extend the desktop web experience to mobile phones, allowing users to surf the web without limitations, even while on-the-go. No matter the device in use, Opera delivers a faster, easier and hassle-free webexperience."
Opera Mobile 10 can be downloaded from Opera's dedicated website.
