For a completely optional feature meant to help out less experienced players, New Super Mario Bros. Wii's Super Guide certainly has found its share of detractors. That won't stop Nintendo from using the feature in future first-party titles, famed Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto told the UK's Official Nintendo Magazine (found via 1UP).

Speaking to the magazine about the recently released New Super Mario Bros. Wii and the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 2, Miyamoto stated that Super Mario Galaxy 2 might share the difficulty level of Mario's latest, stating "I think it's going to be a really challenging game." He stopped short of confirming a return of the new feature for next year's platformer, but still gave the feature an endorsement, claiming "In general, wherever and whenever appropriate, I think we will want to incorporate that kind of thing."

Have any of you New Super Mario Bros. Wii owners used the Super Guide? Any games you would find it useful for?
