The Phoenix Wright DS series has been well regarded here at GamePro Towers, will all three of the games (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations) receiving solid 4/5 scores. Gamers who prefer their consoles to remain stationary, however, have had little chance to experience the series, save the series spin-off Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. Thankfully, Wii owners will be able to experience Wright's legal journey in full as the three Phoenix-focused games will be coming to WiiWare next year, at only $10 per title!
Confirmed for a US release earlier today on the Capcom Unity blog, the games will be largely unchanged from the DS iterations in terms of story and (most) of the graphical assets, though the game will be adding motion controls to allow the player to mimic Wright's actions. Regardless, for titles that originally sold for $30 and up, the chance to play these games with motion control for only a third of the price seems almost too good to be true.
The first game of the series will release in January 2010, with the two sequels being metered out every other month. Additionally, a bonus episode from the first game will be released in May for $1. You can find out more about the WiiWare releases in the press release below and on Capcom's Unity Blog.
