The folks at LittleBigPlanet studio Media Molecule have revealed that the next download pack for the game, dubbed the Pirates of the Caribbean Premium Level Kit, will include a host of new gameplay features, most notably the inclusion of water as a global object.

While water can not be carried, poured or placed as a material in new levels, it can be tweaked in a number of ways; you can add waves at different levels, so it can appear like a rolling ocean or a still lake, it's color can be tweaked, as can its "murkiness," and the amount of "confetti" that appears in it. The Tools bag has also been updated in association with the inclusion of water, and Sackboy now has access to scuba gear so he can breathe underwater, and a bubble machine that emits bubbles that allow a scuba-less Sackboy to survive underwater.

As the name of the pack suggests, it's not just water that's included this time. The kit (which will cost $5.99) also includes five new Pirates of the Caribbean themed levels (Port Royal, Pirate Town, A Navy Frigate, Cursed Bay, and The Kraken,) four new music tracks, a new level background, eight new materials, 14 decorations, 27 new objects, 133 stickers, and a new costume called "The Cannibal."

Available separately (for an additional $5.99) is the Pirates of the Caribbean Costume Kit that features Sack Sparrow (ho, ho,) Elizabeth Swann, Barbossa, Davy Jones, Will Turner, and Tian Dalma.

Both Pirates-themed downloads will be available on December 22.
