Report: Steve Jobs bashes Google, Adobe

Adobe lazy Jobs is quoted as saying, "Google want to kill the iPhone"

Apple's CEO Steve Jobs has hit out at industry giants Google and Adobe according to reports.

Wired magazine at the weekend, claimed that Jobs didn't mince words during a rare Town Hall style get-together for employees at Apple HQ following the launch last week of Apple's new iPad device.

Wired claims, "according to a person who was there who could not be named because this person is not authorised by Apple to speak with the press" that Google are out to kill the iPhone. Google recently unveiled its own Android-powered handset, the Nexus One.

Wired claims, "according to a person who was there who could not be named because this person is not authorised by Apple to speak with the press" that Google are out to kill the iPhone. Google recently unveiled its own Android-powered handset, the Nexus One.

"We did not enter the search business, Jobs said. They entered the phone business. Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won't let them, he says."

According to Wired, Jobs also took a swipe at Adobe, whose Flash won't be available on the iPad, or for that matter, the iPhone and iPod touch, for the foreseeable future. "They are lazy, Jobs says. They have all this potential to do interesting things but they just refuse to do it" Wired claims Jobs said.

"Apple does not support Flash because it is so buggy, he says. Whenever a Mac crashes more often than not it's because of Flash. No one will be using Flash, he says. The world is moving to HTML5."

MacRumors added to the alleged Jobs quotes, claiming the Apple CEO also covered the next iPhone - an "A+ update" - the Lala acquisition, Blu-ray and next generation Macs.
