The official Game Developer's Conference blog was updated earlier today with news of some of the biggest names in gaming taking part in newly-announced panels next month. Particularly, Brutal Legend creator Tim Schafer will be speaking on a panel about comedy in games while Peter Molyneux of Fable fame will take part in a panel on creating user-friendly and modern alternatives to traditional game mechanics.
Tim Schafer's session will be entitled 'Make 'Em Laugh: Comedy in Games,' and will feature Schafer, Overlord writer Rhianna Pratchett, and Tale of Monkey Island writer Sean Vanaman. Peter Molyneux will speak with Microsoft Game Studios' Josh Atkins in a presentation entitled 'The Complex Challenges of Intuitive Design.'
Additional newly-announced panels include Final Fantasy XIII writer Motomu Toriyama speaking about crafting the game's story, novelist B.A. Salvatore providing a sneak peak at his work with Curt Shilling's 38 Studios, and two panels highlighting story building and character animation at Pixar.
You can find out more about the new panels and register for the show on the official Game Developers Conference website. Keep it tuned to GamePro from March 9-13 as we report on all of the major happenings at GDC 2010.
