Metastorm, a provider of business process management (BPM), business process analysis (BPA), and enterprise architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, has expanded its Asia-Pacific operations.

To address the burgeoning demand for its software in the region, the company has unveiled a new Hong Kong office and announced the appointment of Paul Watts as director of Asia operations.

Business process improvement

Organisations have begun to extensively use enterprise architecture and business process management software to get an overview of their operations, reduce costs, improve productivity, gain better visibility and control, and adapt more quickly to changing market conditions.

These requirements have been addressed by Metastorm which is delivering to Asian organisations tools for business process improvement and transformation. These enterprises have recognised Metastorm as a valuable resource that can help them overcome these challenges.

In Asia, Metastorm is delivering to several customers including AKPK, Bank Of China, Chubb & Sons, SBB Mutual, Standard Chartered Bank, and Talisman Energy.

Local support to customers

The company is serving many customers in Asia and to serve them better, it has opened its Hong Kong office and appointed Paul to run operations in the region, said Bob Farrell, chairman and CEO of Metastorm.

These two decisions will help Metastorm to provide local support to its customers as well as expand its partner network to further accelerate its growth and meet the increasing demand for Metastorm's software and business process improvement expertise."

Prior to joining Metastorm, Watts was in business integration and process management software company TIBCO.

"I am extremely enthusiastic about the opportunity we have in Asia, and I look forward to helping organisations in the region address their business challenges through the use of our software and our many years of BPM best practice experience," said Watts.
