With Gran Turismo 5, Moto GP, Blur, and, undoubtedly, another Need for Speed title coming in 2010, the racing field for the
year is filling up fast. However, one veteran speedster is set to return to the track after a four-year pit stop, as Atari
announced that Test Drive Unlimited 2 will be coming to the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 this fall.
Test Drive Unlimited 2's announcement trumpeted new features to the Massively Open Online Racing system that debuted in the
first TDU, a first-year Xbox 360 title. Vehicle damage and constantly changing weather and daylight have been added to the
online experience, as well as an overarching story that can be tackled online, as well as offline.
Some of the key elements of racing games--car types, multiplayer modes, and track variety--still remain a mystery, but we'll
do our best to push the limit of new information regarding this interesting racer. For now, check out the first images here.
