Warner Bros. buys Turbine, now owns all LotR games rights

Warner Bros. announced today that they'd acquired Turbine -- the studio behind massively mutiplayer game, The Lord of the
Rings Online. Not only does this put all LotR game rights under one studio, it also ups Warner Bros.' game studio ownership
to five.
Previously, the powerhouse entertainment group bought TT Games, Snowblind Studios, Midway Games, and most recently Rocksteady Studios. They're on a role collecting major franchise-makers.
The press release announcing the acquisition offered few details on what's next for Turbine under WB management. Warner Bros.
did say, however, that they're hard at work on Batman, F.E.A.R., Mortal Kombat, Lord of the Rings, and Lego-related games
-- most of which we've heard tidbits about in the last few months.
