Wireless networks are invading the enterprise, so in this series of tests we look at the hardware and software required for a full-blown enterprise WLAN. Tests in this handy PDF reference include: the largest 802.11n test ever conducted; a test of seven low cost spectrum analyzers; packet capture tools that help IT managers troubleshoot wireless networks; and a test of capacity planning gear.

In our signature test 802.11n test, we worked with test instrument vendor VeriWave to craft test traffic from hundreds (and in some cases thousands) of virtual clients to see just how high the new 802.11n systems would scale, both in pure 802.11n environments and with a mix of 802.11n and legacy clients. In all these tests, the goal was to determine 802.11n performance in an enterprise context.
