IDG News Service - Mobile 4G technology company Adaptix has filed a patent complaint related to wireless base stations against Ericsson at the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Acacia Research, a large patent-holding firm, purchased Adaptix and its 4G patents for US$160 million a year ago.
Adaptix owns three U.S. patents related to wireless base stations. One is for a method for optimizing a communication system base station for wireless communications at a particular location; the second is for a method for adding a new base station to a wireless communication network.
The third is for a method for performing handoff in a wireless network at a base station.
