Precept Software, Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif., maker of enterprise video software, had a fairly quiet year in terms of new products. But the company had a busy year installing its IP/TV software at customer sites and stirring up industry interest in IP multicasting technology.

The company now has moer than 200 customers, though CEO Judy Estrin acknowledges that many of them are still in the evaluation and pilot stages.
