Are you beginning to get sweaty palms thinking about the upcoming Year 2000 problems and how you'll be affected? Every computer installation could be affected, but those with older mainframes and legacy COBOL applications are certain to be impacted.
Most likely the original developers have moved on, retired or died. Perhaps the source code has been lost, or modified so many times that it would take years to strip out unused code and modify what's left to make it Y2K-compatible.

It does, however, provide a fascinating look at the ways you can integrate legacy hardware and software with your up-to-date Windows NT network, suggesting possible scenarios based on what you have and what you hope to accomplish. This white paper explores the use of Microsoft technologies implemented both by the Redmond company and third-party vendors.
