Microsoft's online seminar site has a new presentation available. It offers in-depth information about various types of security attacks, including suggestions on using routers and firewalls, securing Windows NT Server and Internet Information Server, and monitoring the network.
The seminar is called "Securing Applications, Data and the Network" and is approximately one hour long. It was put together by a number of consultants whose goal was to assemble, into one place, the basics of Internet security. It's a must see for anyone whose network is connected to the Internet.
After you've viewed this seminar, you can head over to Microsoft's training and certification site. Here you will find even more useful security information along with lists of resources for further study as well as tools to help monitor and secure the network.
Don't wait too long to lock your barn door, certainly don't wait until after the horse is gone. Develop a security policy now, you can begin with these excellent tools and suggestions from Microsoft.
